a few of my favorite things...

It is 3pm in the afternoon and I am just now getting a moment to pamper and "pretty" myself up today. My shower and beauty routine usually takes place in the morning before Mike leaves for work, but today was a different story. So, with that said, I had to put the products down to blog about them. It was now or never. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. Sunsilk Waves of Envy Sea mist. Does wonders on naturally wavy hair like mine and claims to work on straight hair as well. Gives you the "just off the beach look". Spray on damp hair, blow dry and go. Magic.

2. L'Oreal Bare Naturale mascara. LOVE IT! The brush bristles are very long and thick, makes my lashes jump out.

3. Bare Escentuals Mineral makeup. Unless I am begged to try something new, this is the makeup for me. No fuss. No creamy, goo-ey mess. I have oily skin so less is best. I used to purchase it directly from Bare Escentuals every few months, but seeing as it is pricey, I now get it from reputable sources on ebay. Much cheaper and is new. If you are weary of ebay, there are Bare Escentuals stores going up in the malls. Go that route to buy, or Sephora is a great shop to buy from as well. Sephora = dangerous on the wallet, so beware.

4. Origins Ginger Souffle. My favorite lotion in the whole world. But I only allow myself to buy one small container per year. Pricey so I save it for special occasions.

5. Trish McEvoy No. 9 Blackberry and Vanilla Perfume. So elegant, fresh and natural. Again, on the pricey side of perfumes, but I usually don't get any until holiday's or birthday. (babe, hint)

That is it for now! Gotta blow dry my hair before it dries. Later Ladies (and Gents).

Ooo..I'm going to have to try the Sunsilk stuff for my hair. I really don't put anything on it before drying and it's just been kinda flat and blah lately.

I used to use the Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil, but it is pricey. Maybelline has a new mineral line that I stumbled across at Target, much more affordable. See it online - http://maybelline.com/whatsnew/minerals/
And I've found it on buy 1 get 1 half off at CVS and Walgreens. I use the liquid foundation and the pressed veil powder, though I still use a brush to put it on. I really like it. Just an option to try and see if you like it...especially being such a cost savings since you use it every day.

I've got the Origins Ginger Souffle lotion...but I'm not a big smelly lotion person, so I'm probably not enjoying it as much as you do. It does smell nice, not too flowery (I hate real flowery scents) so I use it occassionally. But, oh, I love Origins lip glosses! Still use them almost every day.

Where do you get the perfume? I'm looking for a new scent, but haven't had time to check any out.

I have heard really good things about the mineral makeup by Maybeline. When I run out maybe I will give it a try? The sunsilk stuff is AWESOME! If you get it and end up not liking it, I will take if off of your hands so you can try it basically for free. :)

Origins is my favorite too! You want to go on an Origins shopping trip when I get back home? We are short on cash but I would LOVE to get a new lip gloss. I still have a clear vanilla mint one that I got when you and I went shopping off of Park Avenue for my birthday a few years back. But I am almost out, need some more!

I get the perfume at Bloomingdales, the one at the Millenia Mall has it for sure. Macy's - I have never looked there for Trish McEvoy, but I am sure they would have it too. The line has several different natural scents, all revolving around some sort of fruit. There is a citrus one that smells really good too. It is going to be my early birthday present this up coming year, I can't wait to get it!

Anyway, gotta run. Blogging has to wait for me to tend to my kiddos.

Love,
Stephanie
